Meeting The Artist

My name is Makenzi (otherwise known as Zenn), and I am an Arizona based artist! I currently work with a variety of mediums, mostly acrylic paints and colored pencils but I also enjoy stepping out of my bubble and experimenting with new mediums and techniques.

I first found my love for creating art at about 5 years old. I remember growing up drawing all kinds of things, including landscapes, but favored drawing eyes specifically. Since I have started creating art, my passion has grown substantially. Not only was art a form of relaxation and therapy for me, but now I am able to share these feelings with others and allow them to express their own emotions through my work as well.  

My work is inspired by my motivation to change the perspective of those around me. Art isn't about "right or wrong" and nothing is "black and white". The best kind of art makes you stop, think, and feel something. Maybe even change your point of view. I am focused on creating work that showcases my love for vibrant, harmonious colors and my own perspective on the world around us.
